Personal information. If you send us email, we will use your email address to reply. In the feedback questionnaire contest, we ask for your name and e-mail address. We will use this information only to keep you informed about PerfectGiftGuide.com and we will not give, share, or sell it to others. The winner of the monthly contest will be asked to provide shipping information so we can send the requested prize. Of course, the contest is optional and personal information is not required to use the site.
The gift profile. The gift suggestion mechanism requires certain types of information about the person receiving the gift in order to tailor the recommendation to the specific occasion; we call this information the "profile". Entry of this information is optional, but without it, we cannot offer useful gift suggestions. We offer you the option of providing a name or other label for this profile, but we do not need, nor do we solicit any information that would allow the recipient to be identified as a particular individual.
We save the profile you submit along with all others in order to learn the general interests of our customers so that we can better serve them.
One important aspect of our gift recommendation service is "Personal Shopper" where you create a profile that matches your own interests. As when shopping for another person, the profile will not identify you as an individual.
Cookies are commonly used by web sites. As a convenience to you, we may save the profile identity as a "cookie" on your computer. This allows you to interrupt shopping and return later to the same profile. The cookie we use cannot collect or contain any information you have not entered into the profile. If your browser refuses cookies, you will still be able to access the gift recommendation service.
Our objective is to offer you gift suggestions and an opportunity to link directly to the merchants who sell them. The merchant link shows that it came from PerfectGiftGuide.com, but does not identify the profile or any other information that you submitted in order to see the gift suggestions.

Our gift suggestions are mostly for items you can buy on the internet from third party merchants. Some of these merchants pay us a small percentage of any purchases you may make as a "referral fee". The merchants pay all of this fee from their normal sale price -- you pay nothing for our service.
